A story about domestic violence and the misogynistic culture of fear that perpetuates it
Casted by Natalia Polo as Amparo Gómez and Tito Alexánder Gómez as Libardo Ramírez
An amazing and constant rush of emotions. Beautiful, haunting, terrible and exciting. The film melds stark realism with nail-biting thrills in this story about a teenage girl who is kidnapped and forced into marriage with a ferocious shantytown thug. It explores domestic violence and the misogynistic culture of fear that perpetuates it.
Awarded at the 2016 festival of La Habana und 2017 Festival of Málaga, also screened in the Contemporary World Cinema section at the 2016 Toronto International Film Festival.
