Zeitenwende – Aufrüstung in Deutschland und der EU

In unserem Januar-Café Lokal laden wir Pablo von der IMI (Informationsstelle Militarismus Tübingen) ein. Im Vortrag wird die Aufrüstung von Deutschland und der EU, insbesondere im Vergleich zu Russland, aber auch insgesamt im internationalen Kontext beleuchtet. Dabei wird das dominante Bedrohungsnarrativ in den politischen und medialen Diskursen in Frage gestellt.
Ein weiterer Aspekt des Vortrags ist die Untersuchung der Rolle der Wehrpflicht und der Rekrutierungspolitik. Auch die Militarisierung von Bildung, Forschung und öffentlichem Diskurs wird thematisiert. Zudem werden die Widerstände gegen diese Entwicklungen und die verschiedenen gesellschaftlichen Reaktionen darauf beleuchtet.

🗣️ Der Vortrag dauert eine Stunde und endet mit einer offenen Diskussion. Flüsterübersetung auf English möglich.

Zeitenwende – Rearmament in Germany and the EU

For our January Café Lokal, we are inviting Pablo from IMI (Information Center on Militarism Tübingen). The talk will examine the rearmament of Germany and the EU, particularly in comparison to Russia, but also in the international context. It will question the dominant threat narrative in political and media discourse.
Another aspect of the talk will be an examination of the role of conscription and recruitment policy. The militarization of education, research, and public discourse will also be discussed. In addition, resistance to these developments and the various social reactions to them will be examined.
