The case surrounding OXI seems to have ended. The attempt to bring an end to the regime of austerity fell through in August 2015 in consequence of Syriza’s policy change and the dominance of the so-called Troika. However, the european crisis intervention and the cost-cutting measures enforced by the German government continue to have existential ramifications for vast parts of the Greek population. Of late, Greek streets have again played host to protesters voicing their concerns over the conditions many currently face. What does it mean to live in the midsts of the crisis and what are the perspectives for emancipatory movements and social utopias? This panel discussion boasting experts from politics, activism and journalism promise to provide an insight into the current social situation and the present political lines of conflict in Greece.
The panel discussion is organized by AK Eurokrise in cooperation with Münchner Kammerspiele.
